About Maple Red Granite
Origin and appearance
Maple Red is a coarse-grained dark red granite quarried in Guangxi province, China. Its brown-red colour comes largely from potassium feldspar crystals within a structure formed during the Precambrian.
The stone is marketed as Maple Red Granite or G562.
Its physical performance and relatively consistent red-brown colour make it suitable for a wide range of interior, exterior and urban-design applications.
Applications and specification
Architects use its warm colour for entrance columns, benches, tables, public-realm elements and bespoke features indoors and outdoors.
The finish has a strong influence on colour: polished surfaces appear deeper and brighter, while honed, flamed or brushed finishes produce a lighter, more muted red.
Maple Red can be specified for floors, stairs, walls, façades, paving and other demanding applications, subject to the selected thickness, finish and technical requirements.
Marbre Import can select and coordinate lots to achieve the required degree of colour consistency for the project.
