Crema Marfil Standard Marble: description
Origin and appearance of Crema Marfil Standard Marble
Crema Marfil Standard is quarried in the Alicante region of south-eastern Spain. This compact Eocene limestone is internationally marketed and specified as marble.
Its formation can include fossil traces and natural features that contribute to the material’s individual character.
Shell fossils and small natural markings may be visible. Their distribution varies by slab and should be reviewed as part of lot approval.
Visually, the Standard selection sits between Commercial Crema Marfil, which accepts stronger veining and tonal movement, and Premium Crema Marfil, selected for a more controlled ivory-beige background.
Characteristics and applications
Crema Marfil Standard is a versatile choice for polished or honed interiors. Its balance of tonal continuity and natural movement works well across hotel lobbies, reception areas, residential floors and large wall surfaces.
A carefully selected Standard lot can provide an appearance close to Premium for large, edge-to-edge layouts while retaining more visible natural character.
