About G603 Granite
Origin and appearance
G603 is a fine-grained light grey granite quarried in Fujian province, China, with a monzogranite composition formed during the Precambrian.
Its physical performance and relatively uniform light grey-white colour make it suitable for a broad range of architectural applications.
The chosen finish can significantly alter its visual character, from a brighter polished surface to a softer honed or textured appearance.
Its pale mineral content makes G603 one of the brighter grey granites.
Applications and specification
G603 is widely used for high-traffic floors, entrance halls, stairs and public-realm projects. It creates a clean contrast when paired with darker stones such as G654, or with other colours and materials.
It is a familiar urban-design stone and is often paired with G654 Granite or Shanxi Black Granite.
For gardens, terraces and paving, flamed and brushed finishes give a tactile appearance and improved slip resistance, subject to project requirements.
Its light colour and durability suit paving, kerbs, steps, façades, floors, walls and bespoke architectural pieces.
