Honey Onyx
Origin and appearance of Honey Onyx
Honey Onyx, also known as Onice Miele, is one of the most widely specified onyx varieties for architecture and interior design. It is sourced from several regions, including Pakistan, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil and Spain; the lots offered here are sourced in Spain.
As its name suggests, Honey Onyx has a warm honey palette ranging from pale yellow to amber and soft orange.
Every slab has its own movement and translucency. Marbre Import therefore offers visual slab selection, made-to-measure fabrication and bookmatched layouts for statement installations.
Cloud-like colour fields and gently layered bands give the stone a silky, animated appearance, particularly when backlit.
Characteristics and uses of Honey Onyx
Honey Onyx is naturally translucent, making it ideal for backlit features. The colour temperature of the lighting can be selected to create anything from a soft golden glow to a brighter contemporary effect.
Backlighting reveals the depth, movement and luminous character of this exceptional natural stone.
Honey Onyx is particularly effective for feature walls, reception desks, bars, bathroom vanities, fireplace surrounds, bespoke furniture and selected low-traffic flooring applications.
Marbre Import can supply tiles, slabs and bespoke cut-to-size pieces, including carefully planned bookmatched compositions.
Its versatility allows designers to use the material as a subtle accent or as the central architectural feature of a space.
