About Sunny Limestone
Origin and appearance
Sunny Limestone is quarried in central Egypt. Its warm golden-beige ground contains visible fossil fragments, including Nummulites.
The material is also marketed as Sunny Gold or Sunny Dark, with commercial names generally reflecting tonal selection rather than a different geological stone.
It is widely used for interior floors, walls, bathrooms and hospitality spaces.
The golden-beige colour brings natural warmth and brightness to a room.
Available finishes include polished, honed, natural-textured and project-specific alternatives.
Applications and specification
Sunny is one of the most widely used Egyptian limestones, with a long record in projects across North Africa and international markets.
Its soft gold tone is a warmer, quieter alternative to well-known cream marbles such as Crema Marfil Marble from Spain or Italian Botticino Marble from Italy.
Sunny Limestone suits bathrooms and other interior spaces when correctly sealed and maintained. Exterior or façade use should only be specified where the selected lot, finish, anchoring system and local climate have been technically validated.

How should the actual stone lot be approved?
Approval should consider the available lot, colour, veining, format, finish, thickness and intended application. Marbre Import can support selection with slab photographs, samples and technical data.
Can this stone be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
Why is pricing provided on request?
Pricing varies with the lot, origin, availability, thickness, finish, quantities, fabrication and transport. A tailored quotation reflects the actual project rather than a theoretical list price.
