About Tan Brown Granite
Origin and appearance of Tan Brown Granite
Tan Brown is an Indian granite quarried in the Karimnagar region. Its deep brown-black ground offers an elegant alternative to both black granites and warmer red or beige stones.
Tan Brown is the most widely used commercial name, although the material may also be marketed as Casper, Chestnut Brown, Cranbury Brown, English Brown or Ten Brown.
Its dark ground gives the stone a restrained architectural character, while reddish-brown feldspar crystals add warmth and movement under changing light.
From a distance, the surface reads as a relatively uniform brown-black. At closer range, its mineral structure reveals a much richer, crystalline pattern.
At closer range, brighter crystals create a lively mineral pattern with a depth that can recall Blue Pearl Granite.
These reflections come from mineral inclusions, including garnet in blue-grey and pale green tones. Their subtle sparkle is particularly visible on a polished finish.
Performance and applications
Tan Brown Granite is available in a range of finishes. A polished surface brings out the depth of the feldspar crystals, while honed, flamed or brushed finishes may be considered according to the intended use.
Its strength and low absorption make it suitable for demanding indoor applications and, subject to finish, climate and technical validation, selected exterior uses.

How should the actual stone lot be approved?
Approval should consider the available lot, colour, veining, format, finish, thickness and intended application. Marbre Import can support selection with slab photographs, samples and technical data.
Can this stone be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
Why is pricing provided on request?
