Origin and appearance of White Ibiza Marble
White Ibiza Marble differs from Italian Carrara varieties through its cleaner white appearance and more restrained veining.
The material is quarried in Turkey and became established in the European market through Spanish quarrying and stone-processing expertise.
Many blocks have historically been processed and marketed through Spain, which explains the commercial name White Ibiza.
It has a relatively uniform white ground with fine grey to charcoal mineral lines.
The veining is soft rather than sharply defined and may take on subtle blue-grey nuances.
Depending on the selected block, the overall tone ranges from cool light grey to bright white while remaining visually consistent.
Characteristics and uses of White Ibiza Marble
White Ibiza Marble brings natural brightness and understated elegance to interiors; selected exterior uses should be technically reviewed according to the lot, finish and climate.
It performs well in high-traffic interiors, while honed or aged finishes can provide a more tactile, slip-conscious surface.
Its consistent pale colour works particularly well in large formats and offers an attractive specification option among European white marbles.
Greyer selections create luminous, practical floors with a soft natural appearance.
