Carrara CD Marble
Origin and appearance of Carrara CD Marble
Carrara CD is one of the most widely specified Italian marbles, offering a greyer appearance than the brighter Carrara C selection.
Carrara CD is quarried in the Carrara region of Italy and was formed during the Jurassic. It belongs to one of the world’s best-known families of white marble.
It has a white-to-light-grey ground with darker grey veining whose density and distribution vary naturally by lot.
Characteristics and uses of Carrara CD Marble
Its layered grey tones allow architects and designers to create subtle compositions that respond beautifully to changing light.
It is frequently used in bathrooms; honed or aged finishes can improve grip while retaining the stone’s quiet visual character.
Carrara CD brings soft luminosity and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Careful slab and tile layout turns its natural grey variation into a key design feature.
Marbre Import selects lots from the same block to achieve consistent grey tones across the project.
Carrara CD is one of the most accessible and widely used Carrara selections. Its soft reflective quality makes it especially effective in bathrooms, residential interiors and hospitality projects.

Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
