About G654 Granite
Origin and appearance
G654 is a fine-grained dark grey stone quarried in Fujian province, China, with a quartz-diorite composition formed during the Precambrian.
Its anthracite-grey colour is consistent, understated and well suited to contemporary architecture.
G654 creates a precise contrast with pale limestone, concrete, timber and lighter façade materials, helping architectural details read clearly.
Flamed and brushed finishes give the stone a natural texture and improved slip resistance for suitably designed exterior paving.
Applications and specification
G654 is widely specified for urban paving, steps, façades, terraces and other exterior applications. Its dark grey tone pairs particularly well with pale architectural limestone.
A broad finish range allows architects to coordinate indoor and outdoor surfaces while adapting texture to each use.
Its sober colour and durability have made G654 a familiar material in public-realm projects, especially where it contrasts with light stone buildings.
