About Bateig Sand-beige Limestone
Origin and appearance
Bateig Sand-beige is a fine-grained sand-beige limestone quarried in southern Spain. Geologically it is a biocalcarénite datant de la période Cétacé.
It may be marketed as Bateig Sand-beige or Bateig Blanco, depending on the supplier and selection.
Its consistent colour and architectural performance make it a recognised façade stone. Freeze-thaw suitability must be confirmed for the selected lot and system.
Polished or honed finishes suit interior floors and walls, while textured slip-resistant finishes may be considered for terraces and pool surrounds after technical validation.
Applications and specification
Bateig Sand-beige is used in heritage restoration and in façade cladding for contemporary buildings.
Its neutral, uniform colour integrates easily into both traditional and modern architectural schemes.
It suits living spaces, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and, with an appropriate textured finish, technically validated terraces and wet areas.
Its pale sand colour recalls traditional French limestone, making it a useful option for façade and restoration projects seeking a similar architectural tone.
