Chinese Blue Limestone
Origin and appearance of Chinese Blue Limestone
Chinese Blue Limestone offers a similar architectural palette to Belgian Blue Stone, with its own distinctive mineral character.
It is quarried in Shandong Province, eastern China, near the Yellow Sea and Bohai region.
It is a dense, durable limestone widely specified for demanding interior and exterior applications.
A wide range of finishes allows the appearance and slip resistance to be tailored to the project.
Characteristics and uses of Chinese Blue Limestone
Its stable sedimentary formation produces a relatively regular colour. Marbre Import selects blocks from consistent quarry areas to coordinate tone across the project.
Its blue-grey palette brings calm, understated depth to both interiors and exterior landscapes.
Selected lots can be used for façades, terraces and interior surfaces, subject to freeze-thaw testing, finish and installation design.
A honed finish emphasises its colour consistency and gives the surface a refined, silky feel.
Its durability makes it suitable for urban landscaping, paving, façades and large architectural schemes, with finishes ranging from honed to bush-hammered or sandblasted.

Can this stone be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
Why is pricing provided on request?
