Commercial Crema Marfil Marble: description
Origin and appearance of Commercial Crema Marfil Marble
Commercial Crema Marfil is quarried in the Alicante region of south-eastern Spain. This compact Eocene limestone is internationally marketed and specified as marble.
Compared with Premium and Standard selections, the Commercial grade accepts more visible veining, open features and tonal variation. It is ideal when a more expressive natural-stone character is desired; the actual lot should be approved before fabrication.
Veining and fossil traces create its distinctive visual identity. Technical suitability depends on the actual lot, thickness, finish, fabrication and intended application.
Characteristics and applications
Commercial Crema Marfil is frequently specified with an aged or brushed finish, which can emphasise veins and fossils and create a softer, more tactile surface. Interior and exterior applications must be evaluated separately.
A textured finish can improve underfoot grip, but slip resistance, weather exposure and maintenance requirements must be confirmed through the relevant technical specification.
It can be considered for floors, walls, terraces and architectural cladding, subject to technical approval of the selected lot and to local installation standards.
Its natural tonal variation offers designers scope to create warm, layered interiors and layouts with deliberate movement.
Where greater consistency is required, Marbre Import can source a coordinated lot and provide slab photographs so that colour, veining and layout can be approved before ordering.
