About Crema Elche Limestone
Origin and appearance
Crema Elche is a pale beige limestone quarried in southern Spain, in the Alicante region.
Its fine fossil content creates a relatively uniform texture and contributes to the stone’s robust character. Suitability must nevertheless be confirmed for the intended application, finish and climate.
Crema Elche can be specified for façades, terraces and pool surrounds subject to slip-resistance, water exposure and freeze-thaw assessment. A polished finish gives a smooth, subtly pink-beige appearance; rougher finishes bring out a lighter cream to off-white tone.
The fossils are small and closely distributed, giving the material a calm, consistent overall appearance.
Its subtle structure creates a soft, finished look suited to understated architectural schemes.
Applications and specification
It can be used for indoor floors and walls and for selected exterior applications after project-specific technical validation.
With a rough finish, Crema Elche has a light, mineral character that can recall traditional French limestone while offering a denser appearance.
Its strength makes it a candidate for entrances, terraces and other demanding paved areas, provided thickness, substrate, finish and loads are engineered for the project.
It is widely specified in northern European markets, but exterior and freeze-thaw suitability must always be confirmed from current technical data for the selected lot.

Specifying Crema Elche Limestone for a high-end project
Crema Elche Limestone is a pale cream stone for architectural projects requiring warmth, visual consistency and a refined fossil texture. Lot, finish, format and technical performance should be coordinated with the actual use.
For architects and designers
Assessment of the veining, large-format appearance, layout coherence, installation constraints and expected maintenance level.
For stone contractors and project teams
Approval of the lot, thicknesses, finishes, fabrication, transport and technical feasibility before ordering.
For discerning private clients
Comparison with related stones, colour and finish selection, maintenance guidance and support through to quotation. For high-end projects, Marbre Import can also coordinate the complete stonework package on the client’s behalf.
How should the actual stone lot be approved?
Approval should consider the available lot, colour, veining, format, finish, thickness and intended application. Marbre Import can support selection with slab photographs, samples and technical data.
Can this stone be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
Why is pricing provided on request?
Pricing varies with the lot, origin, availability, thickness, finish, quantities, fabrication and transport. A tailored quotation reflects the actual project rather than a theoretical list price.
