About White Wood Vein Limestone
Origin and appearance
White Wood Vein is a calcitic limestone quarried in Fujian province in south-eastern China, opposite Taiwan.
In some international markets it is commercially described as a marble because of its dense structure and refined finish. Geologically, however, it is a limestone.
Its signature is a series of fine, closely spaced parallel veins reminiscent of wood grain. Cut direction and slab selection have a strong influence on the final rhythm, making early lot approval and layout planning essential.
Applications and specification
The quiet linear pattern is popular in contemporary interiors, particularly where a restrained yet distinctive natural surface is required.
It is well suited to interior floors, walls, bathrooms, reception areas and bespoke features. Façade or exterior use must be assessed against the selected lot, finish, anchoring system, climate and applicable technical requirements.
Its light tone and regular veining can visually enlarge a space while giving it a precise architectural character.
Although suitable lots may perform well outdoors, we do not recommend it for exposed exterior flooring in climates subject to severe or repeated freeze-thaw cycles without project-specific testing.

How should the actual stone lot be approved?
Approval should consider the available lot, colour, veining, format, finish, thickness and intended application. Marbre Import can support selection with slab photographs, samples and technical data.
Can this stone be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Suitability depends on the stone, finish, treatment, expected maintenance and exposure to staining or acidic products. Technical guidance is recommended before ordering.
Why is pricing provided on request?
Pricing varies with the lot, origin, availability, thickness, finish, quantities, fabrication and transport. A tailored quotation reflects the actual project rather than a theoretical list price.
