Origin and appearance of Vigaria Polar Marble
Vigaria Polar is a Portuguese white marble quarried west of Lisbon.
It comes from the same quarrying region as Portuguese Pink Marble and shares its proven technical qualities.
Vigaria Polar is a bright white marble with delicate veins that may range from blue-grey and beige to soft pink.
Marbre Import can select tiles and slabs to achieve a cleaner white composition or, alternatively, a more expressive layout featuring pink, beige or grey veining, according to the project.
Characteristics and uses of Vigaria Polar Marble
Vigaria Polar Marble is a robust Portuguese white marble suitable for demanding interior applications and, subject to lot, finish and climate, selected exterior uses.
Although durable once correctly installed, the material should be handled carefully before fixing to avoid edge damage or cracking caused by impact between pieces.
As with other white marbles, installation should use a suitable white adhesive and a full-bed method applied to both the substrate and the back of the tile.
Vigaria Polar Marble is versatile enough for floors, walls, bathrooms, stairs, reception areas and architectural features.
Its strength and refined appearance make it a strong choice for high-traffic interiors, including retail, hospitality and public-facing spaces.
It offers an elegant alternative to more heavily veined Carrara marbles or the softly nuanced White Ibiza Marble.
